Let Me Tell You a Story

Live storytelling sessions in schools and community spaces, bringing books, voices, puppets, questions and wonder to children.

A live story is more than a reading session. It is a room full of voices, questions, laughter, movement and wonder.

Our Let Me Tell You a Story programme brings volunteers into schools and community spaces to share stories with children in a warm, low-pressure way.

What happens in a session?

Listen

Children settle in with a picture book, a storyteller, and a welcoming invitation to imagine.

Join in

Puppets, rhythm, questions, gestures and repeated phrases make participation easy.

Tell it back

Children can retell, draw, act, ask questions or simply listen again. There is no single correct way to participate.

Five languages

Sessions can be offered in English, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. The aim is to let children experience the joy of a story in a language that feels familiar and welcoming.
